Bone broth is rich in minerals that support the immune system and contains healing compounds like collagen, glutamine, glycine and proline. The collagen in bone broth heals your gut lining and reduces intestinal inflammation. This is simple to make and great to store for up to a year.

Ingredients
  • 1-1,5 kilo of chicken carcasses/bones
  • 5 litres water
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 bunch of fresh thyme
  • 1 bunch of fresh parsley
  • 1 tbs peppercorns
Directions
  • Step 1 Place the chicken carcasses, vegetables, herbs,salt and peppercorns in a large, deep-bottomed pan. Add the water and bring to the boil, skim, then turn the heat down to a simmer. Continue to simmer gently for 3-4 hours, skimming as necessary.
  • Step 2 Discard solids and strain remainder in a bowl through a colander. Let stock cool to room temperature, cover and chill.
  • Step 3 Use within a week or freeze up to one year.
